On the 121st Highschool Day of Ilocos Sur National High School, students, teachers, and alumni gathered together to celebrate this momentous occasion. The program started with a Thanksgiving Mass at 8:00 am, which gave the participants an opportunity to thank the Almighty for the blessings that the school has received over the years. 

 

After the Mass, the program proper started at 10:00 am with a doxology by the teacher's choir. The National Anthem, Region 1 Hymn, Ilocos Sur Hymn, Vigan Hymn, and the ISNSH Hymn followed, which brought a sense of pride and patriotism among the participants.

 

Mrs. Editha V Bagcal, the school principal, gave a warm welcome address, acknowledging the school's success throughout the years. Afterward, Ms. Gemma Q. Tacuycuy, CESO V, the School Division Superintendent, gave an inspiring message that highlighted the importance of quality education and how it contributes to the nation's development.

 

To add entertainment to the program, selected grade 10 students showcased their talents through an intermission number. Mr. Joseph Q. Obrero, the head teacher IV of the ESP department, introduced the guest speaker, Atty. Lovely Anne Joy C. Lazo, an outstanding alumnus of Class 2010. She gave an inspirational talk that emphasized the importance of perseverance, hard work, and dedication in achieving one's dreams.

 

After the inspirational talk, the school awarded a plaque of recognition to Atty. Lovely Anne Joy C. Lazo. The teacher's choir then performed another intermission number, followed by the awarding of outstanding teachers, employees, and retirees. Rommel R. Rabo, the assistant principal II of SHS, expressed words of gratitude, acknowledging everyone's efforts in making the program a success. The program ended with a closing song, "Walang Hanggang Pasasalamat," that expressed the participants' gratitude for the blessings and success the school has achieved.

 

The program continued in the afternoon with a field demonstration. Mr. Joseph Q. Obrero led the opening prayer, followed by Mr. Reynario T. Viloria, the assistant principal II of SHS, who gave a welcome address. The field demonstration showcased the students' talents in calisthenics and festival dances, which demonstrated the students' discipline, teamwork, and creativity.

 

The traditional games, organized by the FEC officers, added excitement to the program, while the booths by the SSG showcased the students' talents and creativity in various areas. The program ended with words of gratitude from Mrs. Judeliza M. Refuerzo, the head teacher IV of the MAPEH department.

 

Mr. Wayne T. Alconis, the master of ceremonies, ensured the smooth flow of the program. The 121st Highschool Day of Ilocos Sur National High School was undoubtedly a success, showcasing the school's commitment to providing quality education and holistic development to its students. It was a day of celebrating the past, present, and future successes of the school, and everyone went home with a sense of pride and accomplishment.
